A full weaved cushion depicting a circular beach scene with a couple of surfers on one side and sea on the other with a surfer in action!
All finished off with Dorset Buttons and a lavender bag.
Rainy Day Sheep – Janet Marsh
All my inspiration comes from where I live in West Cornwall, and every process is done by hand.
The wool I use comes from our 2 pet sheep, or other local flocks. They are sheared in May and the fleeces are prepared for spinning. After spinning the wool is washed again and dyed before weaving.
The free hand embroidery is either done directly onto the weave or onto felt which is then applied on to the cushions.
